Happy Holidays!


Students in Ms. Romito's class made Gingerbread Houses to celebrate the holiday season! 



Students in Ms. Young's art class learned about value (the lightness or darkness in a color) so they could mix tints (add white) and shades (add black) of blue and or purple to create a gradient for the sky. In addition, they learned about proportion and perspective by drawing a tree with a wide base and small branches giving the artwork a sense of depth.They drew small cardinals sitting on branches to add contrast to the work. Their bright red feathers make them easy to spot in the snow!


Grade 3 students in Ms. Brown's class learned about equal groups by creating snowflake patterns!
