World Kindness Day was celebrated this Friday. This day began in 1998 and is observed every year on November 13 with the purpose to promote kindness throughout the world. Throughout the day, our students were engaged in different activities to learn about what it means to be kind and how we can share kindness with others.
One activity that was completed by our students was part of the project Bundles of Love. This project was started by a former Lawrence Primary School student after she participated in our Peace Day Service Learning project. This organization focuses on making blankets and donating them to hospitals for kids. Our students helped to tie blankets that will be donated for a good cause. We look forward as a school community to continue to share with our students ways we can be kind and show our kindness to others.
