A Successful Back to School Night at Lawrence Primary School!
Lawrence Primary School had a wonderful Back to School Night on Thursday, September 17! Families were welcomed by our administration and support staff in the gym before heading off to meet their children’s teachers and visit the classrooms where they spend their school days.
Families also had the opportunity to meet our special area teachers and service providers, including reading, speech, and ENL, while learning more about the many supports available to our students. The evening also featured opportunities to explore exciting after-school activities, including Warren Levi Martial Arts, PAL, and Cub Scouts. The PTA had school spirit wear available to purchase for the upcoming school year, Homecoming, and special school events, as well as a highly valued raffle!
Thank you to all of our families and staff who helped make the evening such a success. We are excited for the year ahead and look forward to a wonderful and successful school year together!

Bus Safety Assembly
Our students participated in an important bus safety assembly with the Nassau County Police Department. Students reviewed how to stay safe while riding the bus and were reminded that they have an important job to do each day by following bus rules and helping the bus driver safely transport everyone to and from school. Students also participated in a short presentation about stranger safety, including how to identify and seek help from trusted adults.

As part of our Patriot Day activities, Ms. McDonough’s class created special thank-you messages for Officer David to show their appreciation for her service and for taking the time to speak with our students about safety.
Cub Scout Assembly
Students enjoyed a special Cub Scout assembly with Ms. Pam and Mr. Matt! Cub Scouts is an exciting after-school program offered once a week at Lawrence Primary School. Grade 1 meets on Mondays, Grade 2 meets on Tuesdays, and Grade 3 meets on Wednesdays. Families interested in having their child participate should complete the form sent home and return it with their child.
