On Thursday, September 11, we recognized Patriot's Day! On the 24th anniversary, we were privileged to be able to honor those men and women who lost their lives on that tragic day. We also remember the families who lost loved ones.

Dr. Panzanella opened our ceremony with thoughtful and inspiring remarks highlighting the need for our children to remember this day and to always lead with love. She asked our students to pay attention to the last two words they recite every morning during our announcements. Read, write, think, and BE KIND!

Our district music director, Pam Gallopini, along with our wonderful music teachers, Ms. Frank and Ms. Baroquin , led our students in the National Anthem and a song entitled "You're a Grand 'Ole Flag". Each of our student proudly held small American Flags and watched in silence as a new flag raised to honor those lost on 9/11/2001. The sun was shining and so were the smiles on our student's faces as they were proud to remember such an important day in our country's history!
