LAWRENCE, NEW YORK (OCTOBER 2024)—Lawrence Primary School students enjoyed a recent educational visit by two dedicated Nassau County Police Officers, Officer David, and Officer Grande, who provided invaluable lessons on bus safety and stranger danger.
The visit equipped young learners with essential safety knowledge and helped foster a sense of security and awareness for students as they navigate their daily routines. Officer David and Officer Grande engaged the students in interactive discussions, covering crucial topics such as safe boarding and exiting procedures on buses, recognizing safe adults, and understanding how to respond to unfamiliar situations.
“Our students greatly benefited from the insights shared by Officer David and Officer Grande,” said Dr. Kristen Panzarella, Principal of Lawrence Primary School. “These discussions not only empower our students with important safety skills but also strengthen the relationship between our school and local law enforcement.”
The officers encouraged students to ask questions and share their own experiences, creating an open dialogue that reinforced the importance of being aware of their surroundings. The session concluded with a fun quiz to help students remember key points about safety.
Lawrence Primary School extends its heartfelt gratitude to Officer David and Officer Grande for their time and commitment to ensuring the safety of our children. The school community is dedicated to continuing these valuable partnerships that enhance student education and well-being.
