This week, LPS celebrated "Reading Spirit Week!" On Wednesday, our theme was inspired by the book, “All are Welcome,” by Alexandra Penfold. Students wore clothing that represents their culture!
On Friday, our theme was inspired by “The Pigeon has to Go to School,” by Mo Willems. Students wore college shirts and our school spirit colors.
This week, LPS welcomed Master Daniel Segarra of Warrior-Scholar Martial Arts. Students experienced the first chapter of his book, “Budo the Mouse and the Quest for Courage.”
Three of our students received scholarships towards martial arts instruction. We are so proud of our students in their extracurricular endeavors!
