Lawrence Primary School students showcase artwork at the Long Island Children’s Museum

LAWRENCE, NEW YORK (OCTOBER  2023)—Lawrence Primary School is proud to announce that over 50 pieces of student artwork are currently on display at the Long Island Children's Museum’s Community Gallery. This exciting opportunity allows students to showcase their creativity and talent to the wider Long Island community.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to share our work with others. Our student artists use art to explore and share their thoughts, ideas, and feelings,” said Ms. Anne Young, Lawrence Primary School art teacher. “ They have worked hard to create these pieces and it’s wonderful to see their creativity and talent recognized in such a public way.”

Each year, Lawrence Primary School students learn about new artists from history and explore their own creativity during their art classes led by Ms. Young. This year, their hard work and artistic exploration have culminated in a public exhibition, providing an opportunity for students to see their artwork displayed in a professional setting. Families of the students, as well as members of the community, are encouraged to visit the Long Island Children’s Museum to view the artwork.
