LAWRENCE, NEW YORK (FEBRUARY 2023)—In honor of P.S. I Love You Day, annually recognized on the second Friday of February, Lawrence Primary School students and staff wore purple, the official color of P.S. I Love You Day.
“The theme of this year’s P.S. I Love You Day, Love All Your Chapters, reminds our students that each moment in our lives creates a small part of a beautiful story,” said Kristen McLoughlin, Principal of Lawrence Primary School. “At Lawrence Primary School, we strive to create a safe and warm space where students are encouraged to talk about their feelings. P.S. I Love You Day is another great opportunity to remind our students that their mental well-being is just as important as their physical well-being.”
Lawrence Primary School students and staff work together to foster a kind and welcoming environment where everyone feels safe to talk about their feelings. On P.S. I Love You Day, students had the opportunity to have meaningful conversations revolving around the theme for this year, Love All Your Chapters. These discussions allowed students to understand that like the seasons, whether it is a gloomy or sunny day—we grow, learn and create beautiful stories of our lives. Students also participated in classroom activities surrounding spreading kindness and identifying positive characteristics of their fellow classmates.
