All students who are registered for the SAT or ACT in December, please see Mr. Ballantyne in order to sign up for free online tutoring classes no later than November 8th.

Athletics – Advisor – Mr. Gordon

Attention all student athletes, the doctor will be coming in to complete winter sports physicals on Thursday, October 31st, at 11:00 am.  You must see the nurse to add your name to the list prior to seeing the doctor.  In addition, you must be registered and have all forms completed online on final forms by your parent/guardian and yourself.  Physical forms can be picked up in the athletic office or nurse’s office.

There will be a meeting for all students interested in joining the Boys basketball team today, October 28th, at 2:45 pm in the gym.

Attention all students, you need to please bring your chrome books fully charged to your physical education classes on Wednesday, October 30th and Thursday, October 31st. Thank you!

Key Club – Advisor – Mr. Mayo

This Halloween, October 31st, Key Club wants your Blood!!!

It’s the annual Lawrence HS Blood Drive.

The Blood Drive will take place on Thursday, October 31st from 8:00 am – 2:00 pm

All donating students must bring their student ID in order to donate.  16 year old students must have a parent permission form to donate. Forms are available from Mr. Mayo or Key Club Officers.  Please donate, each donation saves two lives.  Thank you from Key Club!

 

Pink Out – Advisor – Ms. Kind

Attention Lawrence High School!!!

Get ready to “PINK OUT” on Thursday, October 31st, the last day of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Wear your PINK OUT T-shirt, or any pink clothing! Don’t have anything pink to wear? That’s okay, come by our table in the main lobby and grab a pink ribbon, to show support for anyone affected by this disease.  Come on and PINK OUT, Lawrence High School!

Piece of Mind – Advisor – Mr. Dunckley

Do you like to read, write, rap, draw, edit or design? Come join Piece of Mind, Lawrence High School’s premier literary magazine.  Submit and review fiction and artwork for publishing consideration.

Meet in room 306 today, Monday, October 28th, at 2:45 pm after school.

 

 

Rise Up – Advisor – Mr. Cohen

Attention all Rise up mentors there will be a quick meeting immediately after school on Thursday, in room 302.  All Junior and Senior mentors must attend!

 

Senior News

Seniors, your officers proudly present a yummy senior class fall breakfast and fundraiser.

Let’s make our year more affordable and fun!!  The fee is $5.00 and the date is Friday, November 1st, from 7:40 am – 8:35 am in the School Cafeteria.

 

During 7th and 8th period, a representative from Tyler School of Art and Architecture of Temple University will be providing program and admission information.  If you are interested, then please report to room 132, during 7th or 8th period.

A representative from Utica College will be in the Guidance Office conference room today, October 28th, 6th period to discuss admission process and scholarship opportunities.  If you are interested in attending, you will need to sign up in the guidance office prior to the meeting.  If you have a class during that time, you will need to have your teacher sign a permission slip which you can also obtain from the guidance office.

Talent Show – Advisor – Ms. Kind

The Talent show will be coming up soon.  It’s a night where ANY student can perform in a show.  They can dance, sing, play an instrument, perform a comedy act and whatever you would like to do.  It’s run by the Junior Student Government but not only for Juniors to perform in.

The cost is $5.00 but right now auditions are coming up.  They will take place,October 25th, right after school, in the Little Theater. If you have an emergency, see Ms. Kind.  She will rearrange another time for you to audition but only in an emergency.
