Freshman News – Advisor – Ms. Kind

Do you love Lawrence?  Would you like to make positive changes to the school or help raise funds for prom?  Well it’s time to think about running for Freshman Class Office!  The following positions are available.

If you would like to run for any of these positions, please see Mr. Walker in room 331 as soon as possible.

 

Key Club – Advisor – Mr. Mayo

Attention Lawrence High School, Spirit Week is this coming week.  Starting on Tuesday, we have Super Hero Day, Wednesday will be Pajama Day, Thursday will be Jersey Day and on Friday we will have Blue and Gold Day.  Show your school Spirit and participate.

 

If you can sing the National Anthem this Sunday at Inwood 5K run, please see Mr. Mayo today. 8:15 a.m. Showtime.

 

Lawrence Football – Advisor – Mr. Supple

Please help our out All-County Captain David Manara in his quest to win the:

2019 Heart of a Giant Award

The grand prize victory will see Lawrence Football grated $9000.00, in new equipment and David will be honored on the field at a New York Giant’s home game.  You can vote until Sunday, October 13th at www.usafootball.com/hoagvote

Rise Up – Advisor – Mr. Cohen

Attention all Rise Up members.  There will be a mandatory meeting today, immediately after school in room 302.  At this meeting, all mentors and mentees will be matched up. Be sure to be there.

 

Varsity Boys Soccer – Advisor – Mr. Leary

The boys soccer team remained undefeated in league play.  They defeated Wantagh High School yesterday by a score of 5-1.

Mauricio Puerto Quintanilla, Alan Martinez and Danny Reyes led the way.  Mauricio scored 4 goals and now has an amazing 22 goals on the season – which leads Nassau County.

 

Alan had one goal and 3 assists and Danny had an assist and anchored a strong defense.  The  boys have 2 remaining regular season games…. Next Tuesday and Thursday at home.

 

 

Talent Show Information – Advisor- Ms. Kind

Attention all LHS Students!  If you have talent and would like to have a chance to perform on stage, save this date:  Friday, October 25th, directly after school!  Auditions will be held for the Annual Talent Show (sponsored by the Junior class). Sign up outside room 125 or see a junior class officer or Ms. Kind.  Come prepared with the material and act you wish to perform.
